Cotton House Dock, Film. Nov 2022. Greg Lock
Daniel Craig and I greeted each other swimming by this dock before I knew who he was. He said hello to my wife as he clambered out of the water; she knew exactly who she was speaking to. There were a few others around the dock, it was warm but not hot, my legs burned from the wound left by the fire-coral I scraped against. We were just a few hours from leaving this idyl.
This picture helps me remember the day, the people and the activities. As a photograph it does not show me much, it is an abstract version of that place. I waited for everyone to leave the shot before taking the picture. The things that make the memories have not been captured on film, but he picture helps me conjure them back up.
