James had interesting questions about his artwork:

He was talking about the sculptural qualiteis of the two variations of the installation. The bottom installation was the final version and what was exhibited in the "Emergent Ecologies" exhibition (see post)
I appreciated the feedback on an installation, which included an embodied reaction to the photographs. James responded positively to the set-up but preferred the pre-painted wooden pedestal at a greater distance from the wall. He noted that a smaller gap shown in the version with a white pedestal would feel restrictive, while the wooden pedestal created a sense of breathing room.
I chose to keep the pedestal closer because of the scale of the silver rock object and how it worked in tandem with the photograph.
What is interesting about his however is that the wooden pedestal, shadow, and gap is all generated by AI. The feedback which was an embodied response was caused by a non-real computer generated image.
