The proposal took a silver gilt 3D print of the Rock-at-Möllerhamna paired with a large format print of a simulated steaming rock overlaid on one of the original photographs used to generate the 3D model.

However the rock was at the wrong orientation to be handled. Followers of the blog will know that a transformation of understanding happens when the rock is held in a certain, natural way.

In order to hold the rock and see the image at the same time then I needed to use an alternate photograph.

The new photograph had a much lighter sky and the steam was hard to see, so I made the decision to use a darker steam, which now looks like smoke. My understanding of the rock has shifted again.

From a steaming object to a smoking object. Now I think about different things: from a clean wetness to a sticky hotness.

Exhibition planning continues. I am using a liver-of-sulphur solution to patina the silver.
